We are so thankful to again be participating in this years Row by Row. The theme is Home Sweet Home. Our Row is our Home Sweet Home here on the farm at Red Clay Farms. Our barn has a beautifully painted quilt block on it just like our row. We have 23 hens in our Hen House that we named L&L’s Hen House for Lana and Larry. We decided that the best place to put the name of our farm would be on the roof top of our farm house where we live. (next door to my quilt shop) We have lived on our farm 37 years this month. We raised our kids in our farmhouse and my husband’s mother was also raised in our farmhouse. Red Clay Farms has been in the family for over 80 years.
We hope you plan a visit to our farm and Lana’s Quilt Shop and pick up a kit to sew up one of our rows for 2016.
It seems like only yesterday that we started our little Quilt Shop but thanks to all our customers we have grown. We now have over sixty 108 inch fabrics to choose from for quilt backings and over 1,200 bolts of 45 inch Quilt Shop quality fabrics of many different venders, including Moda, Blank, Quilting Treasures, Wilmington, P&B, Adorn-It, Marcus, and a few others. We also carry Warm & Natural batting, Metler and Superior Thread and a good supply of patterns and notions. If we do not stock an item that you need we can order it for you. We do want to be your local or go-to Quilt Shop. Take a little tour of some of our shop rooms below. This is just a taste of some of the fabrics we carry.
Thank you for you support!

We are ready for 2015 Row by Row at Lana’s Quilts and Sew Much More. This year the theme is water. Our row was chosen as a repleca of the Blue Hole at Red Clay Historical Park which joins my family farm where my shop is located. This is where the Cherokee Indians had their last council meeting before setting out on The Trail of Tears. We will have kits available for sale to make this row and also fabric liscense plates to purchase.
Row by Row will begin at our shop on Monday, June 22nd at 10:00. This event will run all summer long until September 8, 2015. Come and visit us and join others as they collect different rows and fabric liscense plates from all over the country.
The Whistle-Stop Shop Hop will be June 4th – 13th 2015. Lana’s Quilts will be open for the Shop Hop days on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 10am till 4pm and on Thursdays from 10am till 7pm. We will also be open on Saturday June 6th and Saturday June 13th from 10am till 3pm.
This Saturday May 9th from 10:00am till 2:00pm is our Second Saturday Sew-In. Come join us as we work together for a worthy cause. We will show you how to make the pattern “Dress a Girl Around the World Pillowcase Dress” by “Totes by Sandy”. This is an easy pattern and a lot of fun to make. You can make a dress and donate it to this Mission Project or keep it for yourself for someone you love. Hope to see you Saturday.
